Having spent my whole life in the construction industry as an electrical contractor, home builder, land developer, and father of 6 (5 girls) I have seen and experienced the ups and downs of the economy. Government decisions, politics and supply and demand would decide if there was a lot of work for my companies or if there was no work for us to do. As I get older and looking for ways to slow down without slowing my income down I started looking at different ways of making money on the internet. The first money I every made from the internet was selling on Ebay. There wasn’t an Ebay mobile app at that time and listing an item for sale took a lot of time. You had to write a head line, decide which category it was in, write a description of the product, price it, decide on the shipping you would charge, take a picture with a digital camera and download it to your computer. Once you made a sale you had to pack your item and take it to the post office, stand in line hoping you had guessed right on the shipping charges or the extra charges would come from your profit. It was a slow process for me that got better over time. Next I learned about selling on Amazon. That was much faster as all you needed was the ASAN number of the book or CD you wanted to sell. Using that number was all you needed to list your item but you still had to pack it and take it to the post office.  Yes that is all Amazon sold in the early days but now it is everything you can image. I had to learn mostly though trial and error as there wasn’t much training online in the early days. Now there is training everywhere online, some good and some not so good. Both Ebay and Amazon now have mobile apps that make listing a breeze and both will let you print shipping right from you home computer. Now you only have to hand it to your postman or just drop it off at the post office, UPS or FedEx. 

Now I have moved to information products and website development. I have decide not to spend years learning this technique and have hired someone that already has a successful business online exactly like the one I want to create. My goals are to be able to travel and work at the same time. This is going to the greatest challenge yet but the most rewarding. Join me in this ride.
