Meet Bill
From Hard Hats to Hashtags: My Journey from Construction to Online Freedom
Hey there — I’m Bill. I’ve spent most of my life in the construction world as an electrical contractor, home builder, and land developer.
I’m also a proud dad of six (five of them girls!), and like a lot of folks, I’ve ridden the roller coaster of the economy more times than I can count.
Sometimes the work was steady. Other times, thanks to politics, supply chain issues, or the latest government decision, there was nothing but silence on the job site.
As I got older, I started looking for a way to slow down my work without slowing down my income. That’s when I took the plunge into the world of making money online.
My first online sale? eBay.
And let me tell you — back then, it was no walk in the park.
There wasn’t a mobile app. You had to take pictures with a digital camera, download them to your computer, write a title and description, pick the right category, set a price, figure out shipping, and hope you didn’t undercharge.
Once something sold, you packed it up and headed to the post office — usually standing in line, wondering if that sale was even worth it.
It was slow and clunky, but it worked. And it opened my eyes.
Then I found Amazon.
Back then, they only sold books and CDs, and all you needed was the ASIN number to list an item. It was faster — but you still had to pack it up and ship it yourself.
Still, things were getting easier.
Most of what I learned came from trial and error. There weren’t any YouTube tutorials or online courses back then. Now, there’s training everywhere — some of it great, some of it not so much.
These days, I’ve shifted into selling digital products and building websites. But I didn’t want to spend years trying to figure it all out. Instead, I teamed up with someone who’s already built the kind of business I want — and I’m learning directly from them.
My goal now is simple:
Build online businesses that give me the freedom to work from anywhere and enjoy life while I still build for the future.
This might be my biggest challenge yet… but I have a feeling it’s going to be the most rewarding.
If you're curious about starting something online, tired of spinning your wheels, or just want to follow along and see what’s possible — you’re in the right place.
Thanks for stopping by. Let’s see where this ride takes us.
